Facility animals are animals that live at nursing homes, group homes, works in schools with special needs children while living with a teacher/staff member, etc.

Facility animals are not therapy animals.

Facility animals DO NOT have public access rights. They are not a service animal and many are animals that did not pass certification.

These animals are well trained, housebroken, and able to be walked on a lead with proper manners. Cats are litter box trained.

All animals are current on vaccinations and flea/heartworm preventive.

When we have animals available for adoption we will post their picture(s) on our animal adoption page.  If you are interested in being placed on our waiting list, please fill out our animal adoption application.  We will contact you when we have an animal for you to visit.

Facility Animals are spayed/neutered, obedience trained dogs and/or cats that have not been able to complete the certification process for various reasons.  The most common being the animal is more interested in being loved on and being a couch animal than in working on a routine basis.  These animals make great pets and fit well into nursing homes, pet therapy programs, reading programs at schools, etc.

NOTE: Filling out the application does not guaruntee receiving an animal through our placement department.  We strive to place the animal's personality with the correct individual/family/center.

We place facility animals, at this time, only in Northern Louisiana.  We will consider placement in the following parishes.
